Ballot Statement

My parents and I immigrated to the United States when I was a child – we found a welcoming community here in Orange.  I’ve lived in what’s now District 3 for 41 years.  I’m a product of the Orange Unified School District, attending Taft Elementary School, Peralta Junior High School, and Villa Park High School, before graduating from California State University, Long Beach.

I’m not a career politician who’s run for office over and over again.  I launched my own small business here in Orange District 3 fifteen years ago.  I’m involved in our community: Orange Community Foundation, Orange Chamber of Commerce and Orange Woman’s Club.

In the past year as your Councilwoman, I’ve delivered results:

  • Led approval of new police officers
  • Added an additional rescue ambulance
  • Advocated for a Veterans’ Cemetery northeast of Orange
  • I’ve led Orange’s efforts to urge Sacramento to suspend the gas tax for six months

As your Councilwoman, I’ll continue to fight for you by:

  • Strengthening public safety
  • Reducing homelessness
  • Opposing new taxes
  • Ensuring the future of the Orange Mall

I’ve earned endorsements from City of Orange Police Association, Orange City Firefighters; Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes; Orange Mayor Mark Murphy, Councilmembers Kim Nichols, Jon Dumitru, Chip Monaco; former Orange Councilmembers Mike Alvarez, Denis Bilodeau, Mike Spurgeon, Bill Steiner, Fred Whitaker; Orange County Treasurer Shari Freidenrich; Every Orange County Board of Education Trustee; California Homeowners Association; California Taxpayers Coalition; California Women’s Leadership Association.

I respectfully ask for your vote.
